藏品描述

光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。由湖北省两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造的第一批机铸币。中国最早的机制洋式银元为光绪年间的“光绪元宝”，因钱币背面一般铸有龙纹而得名。珍稀古钱币是货币历史的实物，由于早已不在流通领域，留存下来的亦少之极少，更是历史的见证。此藏品为“湖北省造光绪元宝”正面中央为“光绪元宝”及满文铸造局，外环珠圈，上缘纪地文字为“湖北省造”。

下缘纪值文字为“库平七钱二分”；背面中央铸“飞龙”图及珠圈，上下皆镌有英文，包浆自然，保存完整，币面文字鼓凸，形制规范，其无论文字和纹饰，皆十分精致，凸凹鲜明，文字笔划和纹饰线条圆滚，显示模具冲压着力深打，致其品相精美无比。藏品虽经历了无穷岁月，纹路依然清晰可见，也见证了其历史的积淀，具有非常明显的历史过渡性特征，有着难以言喻的价值。
