商周时期，龙纹是作为象征「天命神权」的青铜器主要装饰而设计的。青铜器的装饰纹样也采用严格按照器形结构分区和中轴对称的构图方法。龙纹形体和分区的空间必须配合妥贴，由于商周青铜器以矩形为主轴，寓圆于方，用垂直与水平的线型分割，因此，商周时期的龙纹玉器造型，也由垂直与水平线作主要架构，弧线处于辅助的地位，充满理性精神。在图案构成上属于严谨的格局。此龙纹佩造型古朴严谨，雕工精湛，沁色厚重，包浆莹润，传世至今尤为难得，为不可多得的奇珍。

In the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the dragon pattern was designed as the main decoration of bronze ware symbolizing the "divine power of heaven". The decorative patterns of bronze ware also adopt the composition method of strictly following the division of the shape structure and the central axis symmetry. The shape of dragon pattern and the space of zoning must be properly matched. Since the bronze wares of Shang and Zhou dynasties were divided by vertical and horizontal lines with the rectangle as the main axis and the circle as the square, the shape of dragon pattern jade wares in Shang and Zhou Dynasties was also mainly structured by vertical and horizontal lines, and the arc was in an auxiliary position, full of rational spirit. It belongs to a rigorous pattern in pattern composition. The dragon pattern pendant is simple and rigorous in shape, exquisite in carving, thick in color, and full of sense of time. It has been handed down to the present and is a rare treasure.
