In the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign (1897), the Zhejiang Mint minted the Guangxu Yuanbao (privately minted coin), which is a rare mechanism silver coin in modern China. The central bead circle on the front of the coin is engraved with the four Chinese characters "Guangxu Yuanbao". The upper ring outside the bead circle is engraved with the Chinese character "Made in Zhejiang Province in the 23rd year", and the lower ring is engraved with the Chinese currency value "Seven coins and two cents in Kuping"; On the back, there is a coiled dragon engraved in the center, with the English province name of Zhejiang Province "CHEH-KIANG PROVINCE" engraved on the upper ring and the English currency value of Kuping Seven Coins and Two Cents "7 MACE AND 2CANDAREENS" engraved on the lower ring. There is a six pointed star engraved on each end. This coin is exquisitely minted, with deep and steep lettering, patterns, and edges. The surface of the coin has a rich and mellow coating!
