Description

Fu Baoshi (1904-1965), also known as the owner of Baoshi Studio, was from Xinyu, Jiangxi. In his early years, he studied in Japan and after returning to China, he taught at Central University. After 1949, he served as a professor at Nanjing Normal University and the president of Jiangsu Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting. He is an outstanding Chinese painter, seal engraver, art historian, and art educator of the 20th century in China.
