Description

Qiao Mu (1920-2002), also known as Da Nian, was born in Qiaotun Village, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. In 1941, he studied traditional Chinese painting from Jiang Hanting and became a disciple of "Huofang". Proficient in Chinese painting. In 1961, he taught at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts and later became a professor in the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting at the School of Fine Arts, Shanghai University. Specializing in flowers and birds, he obtained a master's robe and bowl, and accumulated the strengths of Chen Baiyang, Silla Mountain people, and Ren Bonian, earning the reputation of "Qiao Bainiao".
