Description

Wang Shimin (September 18, 1592 – July 12, 1680), originally named Wang Zanyu, with the courtesy name Xunzhi, also known as Yanke, and also known as Qixie Daoren, was born in Taicangzhou, Suzhou Prefecture, Southern Zhili (now part of Jiangsu Province). He was the grandson of Grand Secretary Wang Xijue and the son of Hanlin Editor Wang Heng. The head of the "Four Kings" and one of the "Six Great Masters of the Early Qing Dynasty", he was a painter from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties in China.
