Qi Baishi (January 1, 1864 – September 16, 1957) was a Han Chinese from Xiangtan, Hunan. His name was Huang and his courtesy name was Ping Sheng. He was also known as Bai Shi, Bai Shi Weng, or Lao Bai, and was also known as Ji Ping, Lao Ping, Jie Shan Weng, Qi Da, Mu Jushi, and 300 Stone Engraving Rich Man. He was a modern Chinese calligrapher, painter, and seal engraver.
