The inspiration for the creation of this painting comes from Delacroix's 1834 painting "The Algerian Woman", which was Picasso's first time using the work of a deceased master as the source of creation.
In the Algiers Women (o) Edition, the image of a semi naked woman on the left side of the screen is clearly a deformed figure of a classical human body, while the two naked women on the right lie horizontally and stand up.
