Description

Jiang Rong (1919-2008), also known as Lin Feng, was from Luolin, Chuanbu, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. In 1995, he was awarded the title of Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts. Jiang Rong's works are exquisitely skilled, vivid and authentic in the history of Chinese purple clay craftsmanship, setting a unique example and becoming the first female master of arts and crafts in the history of Chinese purple clay craftsmanship. She is a member of the Chinese Art Society, a member of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Design Association, and an honorary director of the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Association. Jiang Rong's works were awarded the "Special Prize" at the National Industrial Conference, and he made gifts for Premier Zhou Enlai's visit to Southeast Asia and other countries. In 1956, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province appointed her as the "technical tutor" for the purple sand craft, which was the highest honor and treatment in the craft industry at that time.
