To promote the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, Bank of China (Macau) and Atlantic Bank (Macau) issued one Macau Monkey Year and one Rooster Year zodiac banknote on May 9, 2016. This is the 5th and 6th zodiac commemorative banknotes issued by the Macau Special Administrative Region. The commemorative banknote has a face value of 10 Macau dollars and is numbered with 8 digits. It has the same function as the current Macau dollar and is circulated at the same value as the same face value Macau dollar.
