玉钱呈石蜡白色，外表因铁锈黏附而略偏黄。圆郭方穿，正面阴刻“开元通宝”4字，字体为隶书。穿、郭部位加工精细，仿唐代“开元通宝”铜钱制作，非实用货币，趋吉辟邪之用。这是迄今为止发现的年代最早的玉钱。Jade money is paraffin white, the appearance is slightly yellow due to rust adhesion.
