At the first glance, one is immediately struck by a serene and transcendent aura that lingers and emanates from the scroll; it stands as a vivid manifestation of his artistic creed: "Learn from nature without, and derive inspiration from within" (Waishi Zao hua, Zhongde Xinyuan).
