Li Ang, born in Nangong, Hebei in 1954, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. Formerly served as the Chairman of the Guizhou Artists Association and Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, currently a member of the Chinese Oil Painting Society, a first-class artist, and an expert enjoying special allowances from the State Council. Ranked 43rd on the Hurun China Art List in 2025. Representative work: "Miao Girl": won the highest award of the first China Oil Painting Exhibition in 1987, the "China Oil Painting Award", and is known as the representative work of Guizhou oil painting. This painting is a realistic oil painting depicting the customs of ethnic minority girls in Guizhou, blending Western classical techniques with Chinese national spirit.
