姚文瀚(西元18世紀),號濯亭。順天(今北京)人。清中期重要的宮廷人物肖像畫家。乾隆時供奉內廷,工道釋、人物、山水、界畫。作品受西洋傳教士影響,傳世稀少,曾與義大利畫家郎世寧一起奉命畫蒙古喀爾喀多羅貝勒阿約爾進獻的白鷹成《白鷹圖》,此圖現藏臺北故宮博物院。 此副作品整個畫面佈局合理,結合工筆和寫意筆法,人物繪畫生動傳神,面部表情豐富,比例協調,金蟾坐於荷葉上,與人物相互對應交流,線條精湛流暢,設色淡雅沉穩,劉海戲金蟾寓意著財源茂盛、取之不竭。金蟾作為靈物,象徵著財富和辟邪。而劉海被塑造成為五路財神之一,整幅作品傳遞出一種積極向上、樂觀向善的精神力量,是姚文瀚的代表作品,文化內涵豐富、藝術表現精彩,寓意深遠顯靈氣,原作原表非常難得!具有極高的收藏價值! Yao Wenhan (18th century AD), also known as Zhuoting. Born in Shuntian (now Beijing). An important court portrait painter in the mid Qing Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, he was employed by the imperial court to work on Taoism, Buddhism, figures, landscapes, and boundary paintings. His painting style was influenced by Western missionaries, and his works are rare to be passed down. He was once ordered by the emperor to work with Italian painter Lang Shining to paint the white eagle presented to the emperor by Khalkha Dorobele Ayol of Mongolia, which became the "White Eagle Painting". This painting is now housed in the National Palace Museum in Taipei. The overall layout of this work is reasonable, combining meticulous and freehand brushwork. The character painting is vivid and lifelike, with rich facial expressions and coordinated proportions. The golden toad sits on a lotus leaf, communicating with people. The lines are exquisite and smooth, and the colors are elegant and steady. Liu Hai plays with the golden toad, symbolizing abundant wealth and inexhaustible resources. The golden toad, as a spiritual object, symbolizes wealth and warding off evil spirits.
