嶗山綠石，又名嶗山綠玉，俗稱海底玉，產於山東青島市郊區嶗山東麓的仰口灣畔，海濱潮間帶出了較多精品。嶗山綠石開採、利用的歷史十分悠久。嶗山綠石具有玉石的性質，晶瑩潤澤，色澤靜穆古雅、硬度適中，色彩多變，質地多變，結晶形體多變。嶗山綠石結晶很奇妙，大部分都是層狀結晶，有的是絲狀結晶、放射狀結晶或雲母結晶。這些結晶厚薄懸殊，排列均勻，有清新圖案或立體山水景觀的絲狀和放射狀結晶的嶗山綠石最具收藏價值。 Laoshan green stone, also known as Laoshan green jade, commonly known as underwater jade, is produced on the banks of Yangkou Bay at the eastern foot of Laoshan in the suburbs of Qingdao, Shandong Province. Many exquisite products have been produced in the intertidal zone along the seaside. The history of mining and utilizing green stones in Laoshan is very long. Laoshan green stone has the properties of jade, crystal clear and moist, with a serene and elegant color, moderate hardness, diverse colors, textures, and crystal shapes. The crystallization of Laoshan green stone is very wonderful, most of which are layered crystals, some are filamentous crystals, radial crystals or mica crystals. These crystals vary greatly in thickness, arranged evenly, and have fresh patterns or three-dimensional landscape patterns. The filamentous and radial crystals of Laoshan green stones are the most valuable for collection.
