「大清乾隆年制」六字单行篆书款 ,礬红六字篆书款,背部平整可供悬挂。撇口,收颈,腹部方圆至底渐收。下承圈足外撇,设计独特,工艺精巧。外壁罩施淡绿釉为地,釉面洁净,呈色娇妍,其上以粉彩绘饰纹样,口沿及胫部分别环饰意云头纹、蕉叶纹,颈部装饰瑞蝠衔西番莲,腹部以描金做四方倭角开光,其内罩施白釉,以隶书做诗文,外缘则以粉彩环饰缠枝花卉纹。所绘纹样繁缛连续,细致入微,颇见功力,其画工复杂而不失严谨之态,装饰风格颇具西洋特征,以描绘纹样的色泽深浅来表现明暗,突出立体感及层次感,生动而写实,与清妍之绿釉相衬,华而不俗,妍而不媚,清新悦目,愈显搭配自然舒雅。器底矾红彩书「大清乾隆年制」六字篆书横款。壁瓶之肇始,源于五代宫廷的壁瓶插花。「李后主每春胜时,梁栋窗壁柱拱阶砌,并作隔筒密杂花,榜曰:锦洞天。」此类装饰方法至明代也备受推崇,高濂在《遵生八笺》中既有:「床内后柱上钉铜钩,用挂壁瓶,四时插花,人作花伴,清芬满床,卧之神爽意快,冬夏两可」等语。至有清一代,以「书生」自居的乾隆皇帝,对小巧灵秀的壁瓶尤为钟爱,以之装饰宫廷,故宫养心殿三希堂内即挂壁瓶十四只。并多次赋诗文赞赏,本品御题之诗文即为此例由《清档》可知此赏瓶之烧造,皆由内廷制定瓷样,且景德镇御窑厂为宫中烧制壁瓶。“The year of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing dynasty” is written in a single-line seal script with a flat back for hanging.
