This Northern Song Dynasty Ru Kiln celadon glaze flower-mouth basin features a rich and lustrous glaze with naturally cracked patterns. The center is adorned with an inscription in golden characters carved by Emperor Huizong of Song, accompanied by symmetrical arrangements of the Four Divine Beasts—Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise—on the upper, lower, left, and right edges, symbolizing auspiciousness, peace, and prosperity. The base bears the inscription "Feng Hua," likely added by a later Southern Song court jade carving master, indicating its lineage from the Northern Song to the Southern Song Dynasty. This Ru Kiln basin is exceptionally rare due to its uncommon form, large size, and harmonious integration of poetry and calligraphy.
